The pollinator garden is located on the south side of the playground next to the community garden. It was originally created by a Girl Scout troop in 2010 and maintained for quite a few years. In 2023 four Master Gardener students proposed a project to revive the garden. The River and Roots Community Garden managers applied for a 2024 ReWild Native Garden grant which was approved. The ReWild grant provided an opportunity to redesign, revive and refresh the pollinator garden with native plants. The Master Gardeners rebuilt the bed and provided compost. In May 2024 a variety of native plants were planted.
